Hiatus explanation

Hello All loyal blog watchers, although I imagine the list is getting pretty small considering it's been quite some time since we actually posted anything. I thought it worth giving a small explanation as to where we've been.

LIFE, that's where we've been! I'm sure a lot of you would agree when we way we say can't believe how much we can fit into such a small piece of time! We also hope you would agree when we say it's still never enough... we don't get to be together enough, we don't get to see our kids near enough, we don't get to see or love our family or our friends EVER enough! So when there is a chance, that's where we are!

And did I mention Portugal with my very best friend in the world! But that was all about us... and as amazing and fantastic it was I will not go on and on, but I will take this opportunity to post a few pics and beg your forgiveness for being so missing.

Just one of the most beautiful beaches we visited. The sand was very different at each one and it wasn't always a good idea to venture into the surf... looks calm here but one day the life guards were using their whistles to remove people from the water, my husband behaved himself, for a change!

Now, everyone has to do laundry.... neccessary evil of not being smelly but how lucky I feel these days when I hang my laundry and it doesn't lay up against a building that hasn't had rain on it in three months to wash away the grime, to land on my clean laundry! I imagine the lady chooses to not look up, dirt not seen isn't there after all. Could you imagine Jan??

Did you know that there is checkout line at the Portugal equivelant of Walmart that says pregnant woman can take the front of the line, at any time? Neither did DAN!!
Now, picture this... waiting in a line of about ten people, our turn next when a pregnant worman started to plop her very heavily loaded grocery cart before we could get ours down... the gentleman to Dan's left, from Holland, let us know that we stood in the "pregnant line" as seen above with the wheelchair, who knew!! Thank you to our new friend who could have witnessed a very heated exchange between Dianne and SAID pregnant woman of which Dianne would have lost! phew...

Two sets of very tired feet. These sandles, both pairs, did not make the trip home with us!

Spent a lot of time trying to figure out just which bus would get us
where we want to be.    Not always a fun picture!

Hope you will check back again in the coming weeks. The blog will continue, even if it's only one person posting (but I'll try to make up for the missing partner and I think you will know that it won't be me missing!) *dianne*

  1. You get a free pass!! Your trip sounds wonderful and I love the pictures. The beaches look incredible.
So don't worry about posting but if you happen to be compelled to post more portugal photos, feel free.
I'm still looking forward to your weekly.

  2. Kim is a very kind and understanding person. I am not quite as forgiving. I did enjoy seeing Portugal pictures posted but would have also liked to see the regular blog postings. I will try to wait patiently. Can you imagine hanging clothes against a dirty building? I guess I could always wash the wall first. Love Janet
